Everyone has a friend whose brother’s ex-girlfriend’s second cousin went to a chiropractor and had a bad experience for their lower back or neck pain. Unfortunately, as with any profession, there are some bad chiropractors out there who are more interested in making a buck than what is best for the patient’s health care and we all know people are more likely to share a bad experience than a good one.
Have you ever had a low back injury, shoulder injury, knee injury, ankle injury, etc. and googled exercises that you can do to rehab the area? This is generally the first thing people do when they have pain. Unfortunately, the exercises you will find online are extremely generic and unspecific.
You would think that the first condition I would touch on would be low back pain, but you would be surprised to know that in my 5 years in practice as a chiropractor in Pittsburgh, I have treated more upper back/neck issues than low back issues.
